General terms for the booking and use of StarLab rooms purchased through the website star-lab.it. By booking a room the customer declares to have read and accepted them. In case of discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.
The rooms are made available by Romano Formazione S.a.s., with registered office in Via Macaggi 25/10, 16121 Genoa (GE), Italy, VAT number IT 02477940999 (hereinafter "StarLab"). The StarLab venue is located at Via dei Volsci 116, San Lorenzo district, Rome.

These terms govern the paid booking of StarLab rooms (Aurora Boreale, Stella Polare, Sirio, Pleiadi) for the time slot chosen by the customer on the website calendar, together with any additional services selected (folding chairs, electronic whiteboard, projector). The booking entitles the customer to the exclusive use of the room for the period indicated, within the venue's opening hours (8:00 am to 10:00 pm).
Participation in the events published on the website is governed separately by the details of each event.
The prices shown on the website are in euro and include VAT. The price of a booking is calculated on the basis of the room, the duration (hourly rate, half day 9:00 am–1:00 pm or full day 9:00 am–7:00 pm) and any additional services, and is shown in the summary before payment.
Payment is made in full at the time of booking, by card, through the secure Stripe platform. StarLab neither receives nor stores card details. The booking is confirmed only once payment has been made: until then the time slot is held for the customer for 30 minutes, after which it becomes available again.
Once payment has been made, the customer receives a confirmation email with the booking summary and the payment receipt. Customers who need an invoice may request one by writing to the contacts indicated in section 1 no later than the day of the booking, providing their invoicing details.
The customer may cancel the booking from the reserved area of star-lab.it (bookings section) or by writing to the contacts indicated in section 1. The date and time of receipt of the request are decisive. The refund is calculated according to the notice given before the start time of the booking:
| Notice | Refund |
|---|---|
| At least 7 days before | 90% of the amount paid (10% fee) |
| Between 7 days and 48 hours before | 50% of the amount paid |
| Less than 48 hours before, or no-show | No refund or rescheduling |
The refund is made to the same payment method used for the purchase, normally within 10 working days of the request; the time taken for the credit to appear depends on the customer's bank. Multi-day bookings are considered individually, day by day.
As an alternative to cancellation, the customer may ask free of charge to move the booking to another date or time slot, with at least 48 hours' notice and subject to the availability of the same room for the same duration. Under 48 hours, rescheduling is not possible. If the new slot has a higher price, the customer pays the difference; if lower, the difference is not refunded. A booking that has already been moved cannot be moved again or refunded with less notice than that provided for in section 4, calculated on the new date.
If StarLab cannot make the booked room available for reasons attributable to it or due to force majeure (breakdowns, unforeseen events, orders of the authorities), it informs the customer as soon as possible and offers, at the customer's choice, an equivalent room, a new date or a full refund of the amount paid. No further compensation is due.
The data provided for the booking are processed in accordance with the website's Privacy policy. Payment data are processed exclusively by Stripe.
For any complaint the customer may write to the contacts indicated in section 1; StarLab normally replies within 5 working days. These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumer customers, the competent court is that of the consumer's place of residence or domicile; for disputes with non-consumer customers, the Court of Genoa has exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers may also use the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
Pursuant to art. 59, letter n) of the Italian Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to services concerning leisure activities and the rental of premises provided on a specific date or period: the applicable cancellation terms are those of section 4.
StarLab may update these terms by publishing the new version on this page. Each booking is subject to the version in force at the time of payment, indicated at the top.
